Year after year, generations of the Bekemeier German Family have taken pride in their "original recipe" homemade apple butter, which originated in the Old Country.

With watchful care, only the finest apple and other carefully selected ingredients, were used in each batch of apple butter. Every batch was hand stirred with a wooden paddle, cooked in a copper kettle over an open fire for 10-12 hours, then taste-tested to perfection.

Grandpa Alfred was very particular about the old apple butter recipe and was careful to follow the cooking secrets passed down to him by his parents, Emma and Henry Bekemeier.

Today, the family tradition continues. The "original recipe" Apple Butter and other fruit butters are still cooked in kettles and made with the finest fruits, ingredients and watchful care.
